Aimed at commercial craft brewers, home brewers and beer enthusiasts, the Powwow exists to create a unified platform for quality, consistency and comradery in the craft beer industry. The conference includes presentations from local and international speakers, educational workshops, brewery tours, delicious food and good fun.

The Powwow has two sets of awards: The African Beer Cup Awards and the Home Brewers Awards. The African Beer Cup is an annual competition seeking to crown the best beers on the African continent. Entries are welcomed from breweries small and large operating in any African country. The Home Brewers Awards are welcome to all and is aimed at providing an opportunity for serious home brewers to be recognized for their time and talents.

The exhibition tent at the Powwow gives suppliers to the craft beer industry the opportunity to showcase their products, whilst attendees have the chance to see who’s doing what and discover the latest trends in beer technology, packaging, logistics and more.
